You could not be around him without being swept up in his passion and energy! His love for people and radio was amazing! This past week we all lost not only a champion of radio but a champion of people. Andrew Ashwood passed suffering a massive heart attack after battling cancer for months. Andrew was an amazing man - he was incredibly passionate about life, the people around him and the industry he loved so much, radio! Even in the most difficult of circumstances Andrew stood out as a champion. He was always looking for the best outcome. His generosity impacted countless in our business - whether it was just an encouraging word or going out of his way to help someone land a job. Andrew was the type of person that even the first time you met him he treated you like a long time friend. Andrew, we are all better for knowing you. The memories of your passion and caring will be with us always! Rest in peace.
